Duties:  Works with Product Managers to understand product requirements. Develops code, tests, trouble-shoots, and documents graphics and visualization software systems and applications. Supervises and mentors junior developers with their coding and testing. Develops assignments and schedules. Works with application team developers for uptake of features developed as part of the visualization system. Proactively identifies areas for improvement within the visualization system. Implements improvements by incorporating new tools and technologies. Coordinates with and supervises offshore teams to ensure their code and implementation meet design and product requirements. Researches new technologies and their applicability and proposes technology solutions to management. Uses Agile methodologies for particular projects, including Geoscience Visualization, Virtual Reality Visualization, Human Computer Interaction. Uses tools, programs, and methodologies, such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, OpenGL SDK, Virtual Reality SDKs, Windows, Linux, SVN, GIT, Maven, and Agile processes. Supervises team of up to 5 software developers.

 

Requirements:  Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related and 6 years of experience in job offered or related experience in software development.

 

Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following: Oil & gas experience in a supervisory role doing project management of software development activities to produce software toolkits or applications; Computer Graphics; OpenGL; Scientific visualization; Virtual Reality; Software Architecture; Human Computer Interaction; Java; and C/C++.
