Field Engineering

As a field engineer, you will work as an onsite leader, putting to use the technical and operational expertise you gain through Halliburton's world-class training. Depending on your work assignment, your responsibilities may include:

Leading a crew to ensure that each project conforms to Halliburton's standards for both quality and safety
Interpreting wellsite data in real time, using complex technologies such as software simulators and the latest electrical and mechanical equipment
Working on pre-job planning, job execution and post-job analysis to ensure project efficiency
Troubleshooting on-the-spot issues at the wellsite.

Field engineers work both onshore and offshore, perform very physical work and keep demanding schedules – often in outdoor environments that range from hot to cold and every climate in between. You will have the opportunity to work in different locations and environments as your experience level grows and as Halliburton's business needs change.

Field Associates

Field Associates are afforded a unique opportunity to learn the business by being involved closely in day-to-day field operations. Exposure to multiple Product Service Lines provides the necessary training and experience to develop into a successful Halliburton Field Sales Professional.

As a Field Associate, you are assigned a mentor who will guide you through job tasks while on the wellsite. Job tasks will include the rigging up and down of equipment, other operational functions, all while learning how to deliver solutions to customers. Field Associates perform very physical work and keep demanding schedules – often in harsh outdoor environments that range from extreme heat to bitter cold and every climate in between. Work schedules can be on-call and require spending some nights in the field.

We're looking for detail-oriented problem solvers with effective communication skills and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service to our customers. You should have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or similar discipline.

Field Operations Professional

While this is an entry-level position, you will have the opportunity to learn all facets of the oilfield service industry. Halliburton recognizes those with strong leadership abilities who continually take-on challenges and perform at high levels.

As a Field Operations Professional, you are provided a series of "On The Job Development" practical field assignments for an operations supervision career path. You will become knowledgeable of Halliburton Management System (HMS), Halliburton and Customer Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Standards and work methods and guidelines for personnel.

The Field Operations Professional is responsible for promoting safety awareness in mobilization of crews as well as all aspects of location operations. Actively promotes and uses our tools related to safe working such as Job Safety Analysis, Behavior Based and Hazard Observation Programs. Utilizes the competency processes to enhance skill development and job performance. Proper licensure may be required, both non-commercial and commercial. This position prepares participants for the challenges of supervisory responsibilities.

We're looking for self-starters with leadership capabilities, who would like an opportunity to begin a career in Oil & Gas services. You should have an undergraduate degree in: Business Administration; Agriculture; Supply Chain; Construction/Project Management; or other related disciplines.

Operator Assistant

While this is an entry-level position, you will have the opportunity to learn all facets of the oilfield service industry. Halliburton recognizes those who continue to take-on challenges and perform at high levels and as you attain certain competencies, there are promotional opportunities.

As an Operator Assistant I, your job is to learn basic safety and repair procedures using processes defined for this job. You will learn how to perform pre and post job inspections, perform and complete preventative maintenance procedures, and maintain support equipment. You can also expect to rig up and down service line equipment at the well site.

We're looking for students or recent graduates with an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or military experience who would like an opportunity to begin a career in Oil & Gas services.
