R&D Mechanical Engineer
This role is reporting to the Discipline Lead – Barrier Valves. We will consider mid-career and senior experience.
RD104-ESG (Senior):
Leads and executes programs as required, by establishing project development plans and approving design documents that follow HSE processes. Provides engineering guidance, uses advanced engineering techniques, and proposes new technologies to address unique design needs. Collaborates with other engineering disciplines on standards and techniques for calculations, testing and reliability analysis on projects and processes. Develops custom equations and solutions using various engineering tools. Provides recommendations for tests results and assists with complex tests. Updates processes, procedures, and calculation tools for general use. Applies industry standards and regulations in design, testing and evaluation. Delivers innovative IP recommendations and reviews technical papers. Provides technical expertise to meet internal and external customer requirements. Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains open lines of communication with all levels of the organization. Represents Halliburton in professional societies in the area of specialization.
RD105-ESG (mid-career)
Under general supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new development. Independently processes data, writes engineering reports, and conducts diagnosis of routine hardware malfunctions. Contributes towards reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data. Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton’s HSE procedures. Contributes to Halliburton’s IP portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have IP potential without disclosing confidential information. Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications. Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide innovative solutions. May participate in professional societies in the area of specialization.
