Job Description:

 

  • Under general supervision, assists in providing application expertise and any other special technical data to business development, application engineering, and/or operations to support bit and/or service applications. Serves as job analyst, well support and job designer to Global/Region/NWA/Country customers.
  • Develops and maintains personal relationship with the technical customer and may develop sales leads.
  • Provides technical and operational expertise to customers in a professional manner.
  • Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles as the lead man on drilling services application.
  • Works independently and may provide work direction to others.
  • May serve in the lead field professional role in the delivery of our drilling services, such as coring and hole enlargement activities.
  • This role assists in pre-planning, and post job analysis with the service coordinators and business segment managers.
  • The role performs lead operations on specialized service operations.
  • Participates in developmental programs to accelerate learning and to advance into further specialized services roles.
  • Requires ability to interpret well site data. May act as mentor for junior professionals and peers.
  • Typical requirements include a degree in Engineering relevant or at least 2 years of related bits or services field experience.
  • Certification as an Engineer-in-Training is desirable.
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
  • Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.
