Job Description:

 

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Preparation of Invoices in SAP and submission of invoices to customers. Working with operations team to ensure jobs are invoiced in efficient manner. Ensuring all relevant backup is in place to support charges per contract. Ensure pricing charged is per contract. Ensure invoicing procedure followed is as per contract.
  • Tracking of monthly revenue by customer by job and ensuring revenue completeness on monthly basis.
  • Assisting credit Control on collection of the above. Work with operations and business development to resolve customer queries/disputes.
  • Calculation and posting of month end revenue accruals, ensuring all meet appropriate revenue recognition criteria.
  • Annual Fixed asset counts
  • SOX Internal control testing
  • Preparation and posting of journal vouchers
  • Various other monthly and ad-hoc tasks and reporting as advised by PPS senior accountant.

 

 

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

 

  • Applies technical accounting skills typically acquired through completion of a university degree in accounting or similar. May suit someone looking to commence Professional Accounting Exams.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles beneficial.
  • Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or other related field.
  • Job role is developmental and intended to expose incumbents to basic aspects of general accounting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications as well as beginning levels of proficiency with industry and company acumen. Ideal role for future development within the company for the right individual.
  • SAP knowledge desirable, although training will be provided
  • Previous invoicing / contract compliance experience an advantage, but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be reliable with a conscientious and professional attitude
  • Attention to detail is critical to this role
  • The ability to meet deadlines is important. Occasional overtime / weekend work may be required to meet month end deadlines.
