Electro-Mechanical Technician

Job Duties and Qualifications

• Under broad direction, responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a variety of mechanical and electronic equipment relative to their assigned location.
• Also responsible for understanding safe equipment operation for the purpose of testing and making adjustments after repairs and/or during inspection/diagnosis.
• This position is required to perform complex operations using test equipment required to test and calibrate a variety of instruments.
• Required to be self-starting and work independently in remote situations, including but not limited to well site, harsh environments and adverse conditions.
• Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical and electronic schematics/drawings/prints.
• Must be able to identify and look up component/part information in reference sites including but not limited to, SAP, CWI and BER.
• The role must possess time management skills and be able to multi-task and perform in a high-pressure environment.
• Required to possess computer and software knowledge.
• Provides basic job training and guidance for less experienced technicians.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5 years' experience as a mechanical or electronic technician at Halliburton and two years of wellsite experience is also required.
• Non-Commercial Driver's License is required.
• Technical school certificate is preferred.
