Brazil - RJ - Mossoró: Directional Driller - Sperry Drilling Svcs

Job Duties

• Supervise on-site Directional Drilling (DD) operations, ensuring accurate wellbore trajectory projection to reach the target coordinates.
• Utilize specialized DD software to support analysis and provide technical advice to the customer during drilling operations.
• Perform well survey calculations and trajectory projections, updating well profiles and providing accurate data to the customer.
• Assist in the preparation of the daily directional drilling report.
• Support the completion of the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) performance report for each run.
• Complete service tickets and technical documentation, including well data sheets, lessons learned, End of Job Customer Satisfaction (EJCS) surveys, and Key
• Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain detailed records of DD equipment, ensuring proper organization and preservation in accordance with internal procedures.
• Work closely with the MWD (Measurement While Drilling) Engineer to ensure BHA compatibility and operational parameters remain within specifications.
• Inspect equipment received for DD operations and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Apply technical knowledge during BHA assembly, including proper torque application, lubrication, and handling practices.
• Remain attentive to customer requirements regarding directional survey procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Active professional registration with CREA (Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy).
• High Intermediate English proficiency.
• Proven experience in directional drilling, BHA assembly, and real-time data interpretation.
• Ability to read and interpret well plans, directional surveys, and site technical information.
• Technical profile aligned with industry standards and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, solid arithmetic abilities, and attention to detail in data entry and recordkeeping.
