Methods Analyst - 147976
This position will be working within our planning team creating manufacturing routings for a range of Completion Products
Main duties
Utilizes broad manufacturing expertise to create complex manufacturing sequences whereby raw materials and assemblies are processed into quality finished products using the most economical and efficient means.
Using computerized files/systems will analyse bill of materials, select appropriate material type, and create manufacturing process routings for lower level components and assemblies by specifying work centres to be utilized, providing the necessary level of detailed instruction required to produce finished parts to meet customer requirements.
Identifies all tools and equipment required to produce these parts and works with tooling suppliers to source special tooling as required.
Recommends improvements/modifications, and discusses/resolves impact of process plans with other departments as required.
Provide support for the selection and implementation of new technology
May be required to support in the creation of cost estimates to support studies of product feasibility and to assist in establishing selling prices.
Liaise with various departments / production area, to identify opportunities for improvement in methodology which will drive improvements in quality & reduction in cost.
Experience: Experience: A recognised manufacturing based technical apprenticeship preferred but not essential.
Qualifications: Qualifications: HNC Production/Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline preferred but not essential.
Knowledge/Skills:
An good understanding of manufacturing methods
Competency in the use of SAP preferred.
Computer literate
Good communication skills
Experience in continuous improvement
