Job Duties

Key Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Develop cementing job designs to meet customer well requirements, including preliminary calculations, computer simulations, and fluid system design.
• Prepare laboratory test requests and review test results to ensure slurry performance meets operational and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and verify that cementing programs comply with applicable industry and regulatory standards.
• Provide cost estimates and technical recommendations for planned cementing operations.
• Prepare operational instructions and identify the equipment, materials, and personnel required to execute cementing jobs safely and efficiently.
• Support field operations by validating final job design parameters and providing technical guidance to the operations team when required.
• Perform post-job analysis to evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements for future operations.
• Collaborate with customer drilling and production engineers to develop optimized cementing solutions aligned with operational and commercial objectives.
• Support implementation of new technologies and processes as part of performance optimization initiatives.
• Forecast chemical and casing equipment requirements to ensure timely availability of materials for upcoming operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to field personnel when necessary.
• Document and share operational learnings, including preparation of technical reports, case histories, or industry presentations when applicable.
