 Job Description

This is an experienced role that, under broad direction, focuses on project based work related to reservoir characterization, well engineering, reservoir management and project management. Exploits expertise and experience in areas above and pursues innovative approaches; understands how domain data has been acquired and uses cross-discipline workflows to implement best-practice approaches. Sets project objectives, priorities, and milestones. Has solid project management skills and is capable of leading own project workstream(s). Capable of actively managing a team with members (within own workstream) who have various levels of competence in the relevant technical domain (s), while recognizing and making use of the talents of colleagues. Understands and supports the use of best practice work processes, project, quality and commercial management. Effectively exploits a network of contacts and typically contributes to multi-disciplinary projects within Halliburton. Pro-actively identifies potential problems within the team or within the workstream, and address client issues to understand and effectively resolve them. Actively coaches others in handling these situations. Has direct customer contact and involvement in business development activities.

Completion of a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of Reservoir Engineering related experience in international setting required.

The role requires:

• Exposure to Prosper modelling software
• Experience with Kappa Emeraude, Saphire, and Topaze desirable
• Expert level knowledge and experience in dynamic flow simulators such as Eclipse, Intersect, Tempest
• Expert level knowledge of relative permeability and SCAL
• Expert level knowledge of Pressure Transient Analysis and fluid flow through porous media.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reservoir Engineer lead and coordinate technical projects, taking responsibility for project delivery and discipline excellence.
• Providing reservoir engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, and reserves estimation and auditing.
• Conducting reservoir engineering studies using appropriate, state of the art techniques including reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, PVT and SCAL data analysis.
• Advising teams on reservoir engineering matters
• Presenting data, interpretations, and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team·
• Providing reservoir engineering related analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide Best-In-Class solutions.
• Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
• Project managing, peer reviews and participating in complex integrated projects.
