Job Duties and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Take ownership of payroll administration tasks and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency with meeting SLA and TAT
• Manage and oversee the monthly payroll process, continuously seeking improvements and efficiencies.
• Ensure all monthly payroll reporting is completed within deadlines, providing accurate data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations by conducting regular reviews of payroll procedures.
• Perform self-audits on monthly payroll to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage payroll tax obligations by staying up-to-date with IRS codes and state tax regulations.
• Manage the “Payroll Requests through salesforce” by reviewing, filing, and responding to payroll-related emails in a timely manner.
• Serve as a point of escalation for payroll and operational queries, collaborating with the GHR Service Centre to resolve issues.
• Continuously review and update the FAQ section to address common payroll questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors as needed to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll information.
• Review and calculate Unemployment Insurance Tax rates, ensuring all unemployment benefits filed by employees in preceding years are up-to-date.
• Resolve payroll tax filing obligations, working directly with US State Tax agencies to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Investigate and resolve any payroll tax discrepancies and ensure accurate filings in line with state and federal tax laws.

 

Skills:

 

  • Strong communication skills, both written (email) and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of IRS codes, state regulations, and unemployment insurance tax rates is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Technical Knowledge (Preferably):


Experience with ADP GlobalView, SAP, Salesforce, WFM will be considered an added advantage.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or related field

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
o Familiarity with payroll software and reporting tools.
o Experience with compliance and tax obligations, especially related to payroll taxes.
