Job Duties
- Under general supervision, applies knowledge of the company's business systems, business processes and controls, including policies and procedures, relative to the location and department assigned.
- Demonstrates understanding of organizational structure and core businesses of the company and industry. Performs activities involving complex accounting reports and accounting analyses with related spreadsheets and applications input.
- Prepares and posts journal vouchers for complex accounting transactions. Reviews and monitors financial transactions for accuracy and timeliness. Researches and resolves complex accounting issues and transactions including related internal controls.
- Prepares, analyzes, and distributes financial results including variance explanations.
- Participates in multi-functional teams and develops project management skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge in moderately complex aspects of general accounting, internal controls, company policy, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications, as well as intermediate levels of proficiency with industry and company acumen.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting related roles required.
- Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or related field. Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles required.
About the Team
The Local Statutory Reporting team is responsible for preparing statutory financial statements for Halliburton subsidiaries across the Eastern Hemisphere. The team ensures compliance with local regulations and collaborates closely with global finance, auditors, and in‑country stakeholders.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant (Statutory Reporting) is an individual contributor role responsible for independently managing statutory financial reporting, external audits, and compliance activities for assigned countries. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage external auditors and country‑specific stakeholders throughout the statutory reporting process.
- Prepare local GAAP financial statements, management reports, and other regulatory documentation.
- Review and validate US GAAP balances and ensure accuracy in statutory reporting.
- Identify, calculate, and record GAAP differences and timing adjustments to derive statutory trial balance.
- Lead and support statutory audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance for assigned entities.
- Coordinate data and inputs from cross‑functional teams to support audit and reporting requirements.
- Drive automation and standardisation initiatives to improve the efficiency of financial statement preparation.
- Support month-end close activities as required.
- Provide timely and comprehensive responses to internal and external queries.
- Perform and/or review balance sheet account reconciliations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Desired Expertise
- Language Requirement:
- Minimum B2 proficiency in French
- Strong reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills
- Experience in preparing or auditing statutory financial statements is an advantage
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or other local GAAPs
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and Word
- Knowledge of SAP ERP preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or CA Inter
- Experience requirement:
- 3+ years post‑qualification for CA/CPA
- 5+ years for CA Inter
