Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Under general supervision, provides technical assistance and analysis during planning and execution of frac and acid treatments based on subsurface, rock mechanics, and fluid mechanics knowledge.
  • From the customers office, works to analyze pressure while pumping based on surface and subsurface properties and able to execute and analyze diagnostic pumping techniques. Understands fluid systems and reactions based on subsurface properties. 
  • Develops relationships with internal and external customers to meet requirements, manage expectations, recommend and carry out on the job changes from the wellsite. Collaborates with operations and Business Development teams to provide efficient execution of jobs.
  • Works with service coordinators to verify equipment and material for pre-job preparation.
  •  Completes pre job fluid testing and analysis.
  •  Provides technical documentation during and at the end of the job to Business Development and customers.
  • Validates end of job packet as per internal processes.
  • Completes projects surrounding basic engineering principles, job design and execution.
  • Understands and aids technology teams in the roll out of new technologies, both surface and subsurface.
  • Understands PSL specific equipment, and equipment requirements based on job design.
  • Able to operate on the job monitoring software and provide assistance for customer remote viewing operations (RTO).
  • Assists with development of Associate Technical Professionals.
  • Skills typically developed as an Associate Technical Professional Frac/Acid or Sand Control.
  • This role is primarily office based with occasional field visits. 

 

Qualifications:

  •  Completion of an undergraduate degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline.
  • 1 year of experience in PE operations / engineering is required. 
  • Must have a Class 5 non-GDL driver's license and able to provide a copy of drivers abstract.
