Senior Software Quality Assurance - Technical Advisor Software Quality Assurance - Landmark

Job Duties

Purpose of position:

• To test and lead the QA effort for the Seismic Engine software and thus provide the highest quality product possible. 

Seismic Engine Delivery activities:

• Lead the testing efforts for Seismic Engine
• Run Seismic Engine workflows, regression test cases, and perform exploratory testing to find defects
• Work with developers to test fixes
• Create defects in ADO following published Landmark guidelines
• Create test cases for new functionality and bug fixes in ADO that include workflow steps expected behavior, and validation criteria
• Create test cases for automation
• Participate in agile ceremonies
• Mentor junior team members 

Administrative activities:

• Log time each month in projects worked
• Complete all eLearning work assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geophysics and 7+ years testing seismic processing software
• Experience in Oil & Gas companies
• Experience in seismic processing and related applications (I.e. SeisSpace)
• Competence in Windows 10 and Red Hat or CentOS Linux
• Ability to write code in some language
• Test case authoring and documentation in ADO
• Agile methodology
• Good written and verbal skills and ability to work in distributed team
• Experience writing automated test cases with Selenium software
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, micro-services and big data analytics

Expected self-learning:

• Learn the Landmark agile methodology
