R&D Electrical Engineer (Senior - Advisor)

Job Duties & Responsibilities : 

• Design, simulation, development, implementation, verification and validation of Analog and Power Electronics based systems & components used in downhole applications where the systems must withstand harsh environments and exhibit high reliability.
• Development of common AC/DC and DC/DC converter topologies & inverters for motor drives.
• Knowledge of power electronics converter systems including active/passive component selection, input/output filter design, compensation circuit design and gate driver circuits.
• Experience in design and specification of power electronic magnetics and motors.
• PCB design and layout.
• Troubleshooting of power electronics and proficiency in using lab equipment.
• Working knowledge in commonly used circuit simulators (LTSPICE, PSPICE, etc.) and math tools (Matlab, MathCAD, etc.) 
• Functional and qualification testing of the designed boards and sub-assemblies.

Qualifications : 

• Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and 4 years of related experience.

Preferred : 

• Completion of a masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
• Experience with Board Level Analog Design.
• Downhole Design experience.
• Experience with High Temperature Electronics.
• Experience with Power Electronics and Motor Drives.
