About Testing and Subsea
Testing & Subsea provides well testing, reservoir evaluation, and subsea safety systems that validate reservoir potential and ensure operational integrity. With innovative tools and real-time data, we help customers reduce risk, optimize production, and maintain control from exploration to abandonment.
About the Role
Under general supervision, applies engineering principles and tools to support the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems for Testing & Subsea applications. Contributes to product improvement and new technology development by delivering reliable, fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with operational and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of mechanical components and systems for Testing & Subsea tools and equipment.
- Apply engineering standards and functional specifications to deliver product improvements and new designs.
- Analyze data and prepare technical reports to support design decisions and performance evaluation.
- Diagnose and resolve routine hardware issues to improve reliability and operational performance.
- Contribute to reliability efforts including risk assessments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Define and support system-level testing requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and HSE procedures.
- Coordinate testing activities and evaluate results to validate product performance.
- Collaborate with project leads and cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones and technical outputs.
- Support documentation including design records, test procedures, and engineering reports.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and contribute to intellectual property development, including invention disclosures.
- Build effective working relationships and communicate technical concepts clearly across teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, testing, or product development.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in oil & gas, Testing & Subsea, or similar high-reliability environments.
- Familiarity with reliability analysis methods (e.g., FMEA) and system-level testing.
