Under broad direction, directs capital investment planning, portfolio asset value optimization, and tactical execution of the business plan. Monitors the value of Halliburton's Oil and Gas Investments, while also directing capital investments through a dynamic evaluation process. Responsible for the Controls function throughout the project life cycle for several major projects within a respective business unit, including personnel assignments for estimating, cost, planning/scheduling, and if applicable, quantity surveying. Develops strategy for personnel development, forecasting, tracking, and reporting project cost as well as estimating, cost control, and planning/scheduling. The position will liaise with accounting, finance, legal, treasury, HR, technical areas, asset management, and executive management to serve as a constant advisor regarding short and long term petroleum market fundamentals, asset value optimization strategies, business plan execution, and periodic business plan accountability review. Works with F&A to provide monthly long term forecast updates, reporting and variance analysis. Responsible for leading the annual business plan development. Assist with the transition of projects from Technical Assets to Operations. A sound understanding of risk/reward trade-offs, probability analysis, and negotiation skills are required to excel at the position. Macro level knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry is required to properly understanding the fundamentals affecting the portfolio, along with specific knowledge in risk analysis, economic and financial analysis, reservoir understanding, and oil and gas deal structures where applicable. Strategic planning skills, business and financial skills, contract management and significant industry understanding, organizational knowledge, and ability to work with all levels of the organization required. Requires an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines and 12 years of industry and/or functional experience. MBA and/or CPA preferred. Halliburton F&A background preferred.
