Cloud Security Leader

 

The right candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of security activities for the iEnergy cloud. Responsibilities include oversight of iEnergy security design, deployment, and operations, including communicating and interfacing with global customers on security initiatives and roadmap.

 

The leader should be capable of navigating complex security issues, working closely with security operations and security engineering, and driving engineering and operational teams in developing a secure posture, roadmap key security capabilities and drive cybersecurity initiatives to closure.

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Manage cross functional security initiatives for iEnergy including public, private and hybrid cloud deployments
  • Interface with security operations, security engineering and develop a roadmap for security engineering across public, hybrid cloud deployments
  • Own technical development of identity, operations, logging, cyber technologies
  • Proactively engage with global customers, internal stakeholders, engineering leads
  • Manage, mentor security engineering team with an outcome orientation to prioritize fast-moving security initiatives
  • Work with architecture and deployment leads to rationalize security architecture for cloud-native, hosted, and external applications with highest levels of data and application security
  • Deep familiarity with security technologies in AWS, Azure, Private clouds, IAM policies, network controls (VPC, subnets etc.), security groups etc.
  • Assist Security Operations with investigations into network and application malicious activity to detect, contain and remediate attacks.
  • Work with customers and technical sales team to articulate and develop responses to technical requirements for emerging deployments.

 

Required Skills: 

  • 7+ years of security experience in areas such as security architecture, security design for cloud-based enterprise applications
  • Enthusiastic learner, technically savvy and ability to deal with fast-moving security landscape
  • Has strong technical and team leadership capabilities with global teams
  • Familiarity with security operations, incident management, SIEM, vulnerability scanning and pen-testing.


Knowledge and Experience Expected:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Engineering with post-degree work, training, or certifications in security
  • Solid understanding of security principles and technologies such as SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls and OWASP Top 10
  • Technical understanding of docker, EC2 container services, K8, understanding of DevSecOps orchestration (Terraform, Ansible, Helm etc.)
  • Expertise and knowledge of DLP, Intrusion detection/prevention, EDR, Firewalls, SIEM etc.
  • Familiarity of security tools and technologies (Keycloak, Okta, Wireshark, Splunk, VA scanning applications, Cloud Custodian etc.)
  • Well versed in SOC2, PCI, NIST frameworks
  • Understanding of AWS and Azure security fundamentals, including infrastructure, network segmentation, logging/monitoring natively on IaaS offerings
  • Ideal candidate will have at least one of AWS or Azure Security Specialty certification
