Job Duties

Responsibilities include: Designs, codes, tests, troubleshoots, and documents engineering software applications. Responsible for defining requirements, functional specifications and testing documentation for software application, which varies in scope and complexity. May direct and monitor the work of other programming personnel across large scale development projects including involvement in design and milestone reviews. Understands the business or function for which the application is designed and assists in determining product needs and enhancements. Applies skills to implementing leading edge technologies and enhancing the Technical Software Development process. Incumbent is able to operate unsupervised and is called on to consult for the most complex design projects. Mentors less senior developers and provides Technical Excellence Leadership. Conceives, proposes, and sells new ideas and products in the engineering organization and guides their implementation to a final product. Provides technical direction in area of specialty on major products. Develops project plans, functional specifications, and schedules.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Prof-Software Develop Prin-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Experience in SQL database with specialization in Database optimization involving enhancing query performance, tuning indexes, configuring server settings, and maintaining the database to ensure efficient operation and responsiveness.
  2. Experience with Oracle Database including designing schemas, programming in PL/SQL, optimizing performance, and managing materialized views, packages, and other advanced features.
  3. Experience in designing, developing, and deploying SSRS reports using MS Visual Studio and MS SQL Server.
  4. Experience with web application server setup including configuring IIS, resolving related issues, and monitoring server logs for performance and troubleshooting.
  5. Experience with C#, .NET, and .NET Core for application development, architectural design, performance optimization, and integration of modern frameworks and libraries.
  6. Experience with component development, state management with NgRx, routing, performance optimization, testing, custom directives and pipes, API integration, and security practices.
  7. Experience with Kendo UI for developing rich, interactive web interfaces with advanced components, data visualization, and seamless integration into Angular and other frameworks.
  8. Experience creating complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis in Power BI
  9. Experience leveraging Spotfire for sophisticated data visualization, intricate reporting, and comprehensive analytics, including integrating with backend databases such as Oracle and SQL Server and developing custom connectors.
  10. Experience in cloud computing, configuring and managing Azure Storage accounts, including blob storage, file storage, and queue storage, as well as implementing data access, security, and performance optimization.
