JOB DESCRIPTION: Materials Control Specialist Western-Europe


This role, reporting to Materials & Logistics Supervisor based in The Netherlands, will assist with inventory management and (inter)national shipments for all Product Service Lines in compliance with company policies, procedures and local laws.


Tasks and responsibilities:


  • Controls and administrates the inventory stored in (external) warehouses.
  • Performs Cycle Counts on monthly basis to ensure accurate stockkeeping.
  • Reconciles inventory ledgers on frequent basis, including reporting.
  • Completion of SAP processes in both Materials Management and Logistics modules.
  • Works in conjunction & communicates with logistics providers to arrange collections and shipments of (inter)national orders.
  • Assists with the preparation & distribution of shipping documentation.
  • Communicates regularly and pro-actively with internal stakeholders regarding status of shipments.  


Profile (education & experience:


  • Business or technical degree (HBO) related to logistics or supply chain management.
  • Able to speak and write English.
  • Experience of working within a Materials Control/Warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Good organisation skills and ability to work independently within set deadline.
  • Able to communicate with different levels within the organisation.
  • Basic knowledge of customs regulations and transport.
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and to make decisions on the understanding of the total supply chain process.
  • Experience of SAP preferred.
  • Hard working  mentality required.
  • Takes part in an on-duty roster for emergencies outside regular working hours.
  • Strong team player and effective communicator.



  • travel abroad may be required from time to time.
