Job Duties

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Under general supervision, test new and used equipment including seals, motors and pumps, identify problems and communicate issues to the testing manager.
• This position will train new Test Shop Operators.
• Perform initial maintenance checks through appropriate processes.
• Must understand all lines (and brands) of equipment (motors, seals, or pumps), using proper processes and procedures.
• Through experience, looks for repeatability in successive tests.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
• Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and 2+ years of experience.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
• Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
• The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
