Duties:                                                             

Responsibilities include: Provide advice and support to the global organization during planning, execution and troubleshooting of technical issues associated with drilling and completion fluids. Provide training and guidance to visiting trainees and course participants and junior lab staff. Recognized internally and externally as a subject matter expert and provide application expertise and any special technical data to Business Development, Application Engineering, Training, External Customers and Operations to support product and service applications globally. Revise, use, and refer users to appropriate Technical Content of Product/Services web pages on Halworld. Review content for accuracy and approve revisions as needed. Create rich content for internal and external customers. Responsible for responding to questions submitted to the Knowledge Base system and developing relevant articles to publish. Review responses and articles of less experienced personnel. Responsible for all formal communication for situations involving: Cautions and or warnings, Design/product/service changes, Required Field Action, Interim procedures and reference information using a Technology Bulletin. Responsible for the maintenance of Operational Manuals. Incorporate Reliability, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), and Quality standards into job activities.  

Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Advisor - Global Tech Svcs, Sr-related occupation

Position requires experience in the following:  

  1. Experience solving drilling fluid issues both in the lab and in the field with drilling/completion operations in the onshore and the offshore shelf/deepwater environment, determining the most appropriate lab testing to be carried out such that an effective solution to the issue can be achieved
  2. Experience in introducing New Technology for critical wells, educating local teams on the New Technology, and reviewing Risk Assessment and Design of Service associated with this New Technology Introduction
  3. Experience supervising field operations for critical wells to ensure that there are no deviations from the design of service and assessing any potential deviations and the most appropriate response proposed to nullify any adverse risk
  4. Experience with enhanced laboratory skills using advanced equipment such as Fann 77 HPHT rheometer, Fann 45 Rheometer, Brookfield Rheometer, Particle Plugging Apparatus, Dynamic Sag Simulator, Fann 90 Filtration Control, Chandler Return Permeameter, MetaRock Pore Pressure Transmission Apparatus, Linear Swell Meter, Cement Consistometer, and knowledge of all standard drilling fluid laboratory equipment
  5. Experience supervising, mentoring, training and assessment of lab staff and visiting course attendees
  6. Experience with delivering instructor lead trainings, technical job trainings and direct product sales and business trainings for internal and external customers
  7. Experience with report writing to effectively communicate findings related to technical issues raised from the field documented in an Executive Summary for distribution to the local/regional team as well as the customer
