Job Duties and Qualifications
At Halliburton Landmark, AI/ML transformation is afoot. As Head of UI/UX design, you will conceptualize and design patterns to interrogate Oil and Gas digital twin for the upstream energy industry. You will be building, driving and leading delightful user-experience for the Halliburton Landmark ds365 applications. Understanding user needs driven through user research, interaction with our customers and transforming these insights into user-designs aligned across Landmark product suite will be central to your role. You will be a thought leader in the energy vertical and will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Customers, and drive development of user-centered designs for growing product adoption.
- A UX thought leader and champion
- Driving creation of design, design patterns, and user-experience across an application suite. Developing industry specific, persona driven best practices by interviewing end users and formulating measurements for effective design
- Setting vision for product design, identity, and champion its implementation, adoption, and improvement
- Working in partnership with product management, engineering and enterprise customers to create compelling designs with a distinct identity
- Overseeing adoption of style guides across enterprise products, leading product design teams
- Enabling design for connecting design-product-engineering-marketing-customer to create compelling examples
- Passion for leading and inspiring around design, product and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Qualification and Responsibilities
- 10+ years of UX/UI design leadership across enterprise software applications
- Experience with scientific applications, engineering, subsurface, 3D digital twins, and GIS is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in driving and implementing design thinking across enterprise software applications
- Strong collaborative skills with end-users, designers, product managers, engineers and executives
- Proven experience as a UX/UI designer, ideally across 2D/3D applications, in enterprise SaaS application space
- Thrive in fast-paced, agile, technologically advanced environment, with ambiguity and change of scope based on market and customer needs
- Data-driven, analytical and ability to work independently while leading a team, to influence both up and down
- Systems-thinker: take a broad view of the problem space, distilling problems into incremental deliveries, that build towards a bigger vision
- Have an active voice to propel change, be willing to bring consensus around shared principles, and uplevel teams towards the larger vision
- Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree. Bachelors or master’s in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related field or equivalent degree, and minimum of 10 years' experience or through equivalent work experience

Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Technology Manager UX/UI Design Leader up to the Director Level UX/UI Design
