Job Description & Requirements
- Under broad supervision performs diverse and specialized analytical functions.
- Performs duties involving the interpretation of international trade regulations for multiple countries.
- Assesses business risk in relation to import and export business transactions.
- Communicates directly with government agencies, forwarders, brokers, engineers and subject matter experts.
- Applies for export and import license authorizations on behalf of the company.
- Files status reports to various government agencies.
- Acts as an administrator for the company's export and import licenses.
- Is proficient in the use of SAP.
- Must have sufficient knowledge of the company's products in order to assign export and import classification numbers.
- This person is empowered to block any order transaction that is not in compliance with the company's internal control program.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- Familiar with EU and UK regulations.
- (3-5 years) experience in trade compliance, government regulations, customs, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement or logistics.
