Role Overview:
IT functional lead with primary responsibilities focused on Order to Cash (OTC), although assignments may vary. The position operates under an IT Senior Manager, frequently working independently while providing leadership and guidance to team members who may report to this position. The candidate will be a key liaison between IT and specific business areas, with emphasis on OTC, managing relevant communications, IT strategy, deliverables, direct and indirect resources, and financial responsibility.
Experience with SAP, especially SAP SD, is required to effectively perform job duties, plus expertise with various technologies to ensure quality development, operation, maintenance, and support of applications, including interfaces with internal and external systems.
Job Duties
- Perform activities to ensure IT aspects of OTC are operational, meeting high-availability and performance requirements. Lead any triage efforts when required.
- Lead and mentor team members. Allocate work and validate results.
- Develop project plans, obtain approvals, manage tasks, timelines, and budget.
- Work closely with business users to develop Business Requirements Documents and User Stories.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure objectives are met, complying with respective processes and procedures.
- Perform and oversee application development and delivery activities, quality assurance reviews, documentation, system deployment, training, project setup and post-implementation support.
- Handle the selection, acquisition, installation, and configuration of applications, necessitating direct interaction with vendors and suppliers.
- Research and recommend directions for software technology to ensure optimal solutions for organizational needs. Perform product evaluations and selections.
- Interpret and apply directives from managers and business partners.
- Fiscal responsibility, including creation and management of team and project budgets, having full accountability to remain within approved budget and to produce reports.
- Contribute directly to overall value creation for the organization.
Process and Expertise:
The role requires in-depth process knowledge of the Quote to Cash workflow, with extensive SAP SD experience and functional knowledge. Ability to collaborate with the OTC business leads and demonstrate a valuable partnership. Candidates will benefit by having broad experience scheduling resources and assets to job sites, preferably using complimentary applications such as Salesforce-based CPQ, RUBI, SFS, and Oracle B2B. Experience in eCommerce/eBusiness with an understanding of e-Billing and interacting with Trading Partners. Proficiency in application integrations, master and transactional data management, familiarity with the applications and processes supporting full OTC life cycle. Candidate should have knowledge of key industry performance indicators (KPIs) and respective reporting.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, offer tactful guidance when addressing complex tasks, and ensure timely project completion and business partner satisfaction is essential. Experience using common tools for tracking quality and service levels is required, with ability to produce and facilitate management presentations and status reports.

Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or Engineering, accompanied by at least ten years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, candidates may qualify with fourteen years of experience in Systems Development and/or Applications Support, covering analysis, design, programming, product selection, support, and/or maintenance.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Business Analyst and 7 years as an OTC functional lead. Similar experience, such as finance, will be considered.
- Qualified candidates will have IT skill sets to fully support the respective applications, including the development and enhancements. Key skills include application development and deployment life cycle, relational databases and query development, data storage and security, Waterfall and Agile methodologies, understanding of code branching and pipeline management, data analysis, testing, and deployments. Strong skills applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
