Job Duties
- Under broad direction, leads materials inventory planning requirements for several/ PSLs/ Countries, or NWA's to help provide seamless integration of Supply Chain operations and processes.
- Role includes leading teams and and may involve direct supervision of employees.
- Collaborates with PSL and Business Development (BD) staff, manufacturing personnel, internal and external suppliers, and logistics personnel to ensure inventory levels meet business requirements.
- Ensures inventory planning is appropriate to minimize surplus inventory and control costs.
- Provides guidance and assigns work to less experienced staff.
- Provides materials planning and control subject matter expertise to leadership.
- Responsible for planning activities such as review of forecasts generated by inventory planning tools, ensuring that regular inventory planning meetings are held and that actions arising from these meetings are executed.
- Responsible for ensuring that planning processes are adhered to and that planning tools are used effectively.
- Responsible for meeting financial goals and objectives for the business.
Qualifications
- Requires completion of a two year degree; a four year undergraduate degree in business administration, materials management, industrial distribution, engineering or similar discipline preferred.
- Eight years related experience in materials management which includes experience in procurement or logistics or a four year degree plus 4 years related work experience required.
- Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems required.
