Job Duties

  • Lead quality assurance efforts across upstream Oil & Gas applications, ensuring robust testing coverage and high software reliability.
  • Design, develop, and execute effective test cases for various testing types including functional, integration, performance, regression, and UAT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and Product Owners to align testing strategies with business goals.
  • Manage defect tracking and resolution processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives and framework enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of QA experience, preferably in upstream Oil & Gas software environments.
  • Solid understanding of drilling and completions workflows such as well construction, fluids management, and performance monitoring.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is preferred but not mandatory.

 

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in software testing methodologies: Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression, and UAT.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and ALM tools like Azure DevOps/TFS or JIRA.
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as WellCat, WellPlan, and Compass is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools and test framework design.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with a collaborative mindset.
