Position Description

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Controls, the Principal Accountant will perform the following responsibilities:

 

  • Valuable contributor to the global organization by becoming an integral part of the design and operating effectiveness of the company’s internal control over financial reporting (ICFR).
  • Knowledgeable about the company’s accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Managing the company’s quarterly internal control self-assessment process to ensure completion and evaluate any control deficiencies.  
  • Perform annual materiality analysis to determine high-risk financial statement accounts and scoping of international locations.
  • Preparation of quarterly internal control committee meeting slide decks.
  • Coordinate the quarterly review of the company’s accounting policies & business practices.
  • Assisting with the implementation of the company’s new internal controls software (AuditBoard).
  • Communicate and collaborate with various accounting departments in support of their internal control responsibilities.
  • Provide assistance with the execution and completion of various Special Projects.

 

Qualifications

 

The successful candidate will possess the following credentials/qualifications:

  • Degree – bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA - CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience – three or more years’ experience required.
  • Applications – proficient in Microsoft Office products; experience with SAP/S4, Hyperion and AuditBoard a plus
