Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Under direct supervision, responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions.
  • Performs inspection of various operations activities.
  • Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.
  • May perform final adjustments.
  • Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
  • May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports.
  • Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.
  • Performs incoming inspections of Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and/or electrical components to assure conformance utilizing drawings, schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
  • First article inspection experience.
  • Verify certifications and documents from vendors.
  • Visual Inspection of PCB’s and PCBA’s for solder quality and overall workmanship, including Inspection of raw materials, components, component placement, hardware, cable, and wire.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 years of experience is required.
  • 3-5 years' experience which includes Quality and/or Industry experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' in working experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and/or Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Inspection.
  • Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards and use of ESD precautions.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and/or schematics.
  • Experience in metrology (units, and or a system of measurements).
  • Experience in dimensions and tolerances.
  • Ability to measure and inspect under microscope.
  • Capable of writing technical descriptive explanations for non-conforming products.

 

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including QA/QC Inspector or Senior QA/QC Inspector.
