- Architect and participate/lead design, development, implementation, verification, validation and reliability growth of electronics based systems & components as applied in downhole tools.
- Understand and have hands-on experience with micro-processor or controller-based systems, architecture, components and interfaces.
- Lead/participate in designs with fundamental embedded programming concepts to solve complex problems.
- Knowledge and experience in embedded debugging IDE (like TI Code Composer Studio), fluent in firmware programming and development in C language as well as basics of assembly language.
- Lead/participate in overall design/component qualification testing as well as in debugging/troubleshooting of complex issues by using common lab instruments.
- Hands-on experience in high temperature electronics system design, component selection, qualification & PCB assembly practice.
- Develop schematics and support PCB design (using CAD tools). Well versed in resolving issues such as noise minimization, reflection, crosstalk, ground bounce, etc.
- Knowledgeable and have hands-on experience/understanding of common interface protocols like I2C, SPI, RS485, RS232, CAN, USB, etc.
- Familiar with sensor analog front interfaces and concepts related to sensor calibration.
- Basic understanding of various filters, amplifier topologies and architecture.
- Knowledgeable and hands-on experiences on ADC, DAC, LDO, switching power supply topologies
- Able to perform circuit simulation utilizing tools such as LTSPICE, PSPICE, etc.
- Able to prepare engineering documents like design specifications, test plans, test procedures, user’s manuals, etc.
- Protect intellectual property by filling timely disclosures and patents.
- Some travel to field locations/testing locations will likely be required for this role.
