Duties:                                                             

Acts as a technical lead on projects related to electronic circuits and control systems, as required, by establishing development plans and approving design documents. Evaluates project risks and provides input to project leads to develop mitigation strategies. Uses engineering tools, test specifications and assessment of Health, Safety and Environment requirements during the design process. Uses software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict reliability and performance. Contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions. Creates an impactful relationship with Halliburton's technical community, customers, and vendors by proactively collaborating with key stakeholders. Participates in professional societies in area of specialization.

                                                                        

Requirements:                 

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an Electrical Engineering related occupation. In lieu of the above, employer will accept 6 years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineering related occupation.

 

Position also requires experience in the following:  

1.           Experience designing multi-layer printed circuit boards based on electrical schematics.

2.           Experience designing high vibration (10+ g-force) and applying associated design practices to deal with such forces.

3.           Experience designing for high temperature (175 C and above) environments and applying associated design practices to deal with such temperatures.

4.           Experience applying specialty features such as intra-layer electromagnetic shielding and other such features to deal with electromagnetic noise.

5.           Experience designing boards for space limitations including densely-packed board, two sided boards, and for boards that will experience bending and flexing.

6.           Expertise using the PADS PCB Design Software and with maintaining and using associated component libraries.
