About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless Quote-to-Cash (QTC) process and delivering exceptional operational support to our customers. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to manage order processing, licensing, and service delivery for software solutions.

Job Duties

  • Under strict supervision, this role augments customer relationships and expedites revenue recognition by performing assigned tasks within one or more quote to cash (QTC) process domains to include a combination of pre-sales, product delivery and service delivery activities required to support an assigned geography, global account or customer segment.
  • Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
  • Errors are readily ascertained by the supervisor and can be corrected. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely fulfillment of software licenses and services.
  • Quote-to-Cash Support: Manage activities across pre-sales, order entry, invoicing, and delivery to expedite revenue recognition.
  • Customer Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for operational inquiries, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues.
  • License & Entitlement Management: Handle provisioning of software licenses, renewals, and replacements in compliance with company policies.
  • Billing & Revenue Alignment: Ensure accurate and timely invoicing in compliance with company policies and revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606).
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in operational workflows and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to SOX, audit requirements, and internal governance for all operational transactions.

Qualifications

  • Skills are typically acquired through 1 year experience in customer service, preferably within the high-tech sales or service industry.
  • Halliburton experience in distribution or finance administration and familiarity of the sales administration and financial aspects of the business is favorable.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM and Salesforce tools (CPQ experience is a plus)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is a plus.
