Job Duties and Qualifications

As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Leader, you will be lead a team responsible for running iEnergy to maintain uptime, scale deployments and operations, and interface with key stakeholders (Engineering, Sales, Operations, Customers).

The leader should be very well versed in running infrastructure and cloud operations at scale.

They should have demonstrated experience in:

  • Operating large cloud-scale operations globally for single and multi-tenant services
  • Lead globally distributed teams responsible for 24x7x365 operations
  • Passion for leading and inspiring technical teams
  • Owning, leading, improving operations with transparency, trust, and technical strength
  • Reducing toil, increasing automation in running workloads
  • Being an equal partner with Software and Infrastructure Engineering organization in design and operations
  • Design and Operations of infrastructure, networking, and storage for AWS, Azure, Private cloud
  • Oversee, improve and stay on top of incident management, drive rapid and effective resolution of incidents
  • Best of breed automation and observability tooling (application performance, configuration management, alerting and resolution etc.)
  • Implement structured engineering and operations processes throughout lifecycle of deployment, operations, and resolution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Requirements:
8+ years of SRE experience in Enterprise cloud and infrastructure operations
Deep hands-on technical expertise in SRE function, especially in partnerships with Engineering, Customer and Product Support functions
Has strong technical and team leadership capabilities with global teams
Bachelors or master’s in computer science/engineering 
Ideal candidate will have at least one of AWS or Azure Specialty certification (e.g., SysOps Administrator)
