Responsibilities include:  

Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems during the development and application of new and improved products and processes. Considered an SME within Halliburton. Perform numerical modeling, data analysis, correlation and model development on complex projects utilizing existing commercial software and may develop new modeling software or algorithms to help develop unique customer solutions using sonic and or ultrasonic transducers. Proficiently design and perform complex cross PSL specialized tests and simulations including design and construction of modeling apparatus and data acquisition systems. Prepare detailed project plans and as project manager is accountable for performance of multiple, complex or cross-PSL projects according to plan; Resolve critical/controversial issues, negotiates with key representatives of other organizations, and is considered a subject matter expert in multiple technical fields. Manage a large scale acoustic lab facility ensuring that the day to day operations are performed accurately, safely & within the budget and time frame of the project plan.   

                                                                  

Requirements:                                              

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Advisor Engineering related occupation.

 

Position also requires experience in the following:

 

1.            Experience performing quality checks and advanced log analysis on both Formation Evaluation and Well Integrity services.

2.            Experience developing algorithms used for log interpretation and environmental corrections.

3.            Experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams to increase efficiency, achieve timeline goals and maintain budgetary targets.

4.            Experience with downhole tool sensors.

5.            Experience utilizing complex test equipment to design, develop and troubleshoot acoustic sensors.

6.            Experience designing complex mechanical fixtures utilized for characterization of downhole sensors.

7.            Experience coordinating and conducting field tests of newly developed technologies in customer wells.

8.            Experience designing detailed test procedures for newly designed sensor technologies and providing technical support to field operations.
