We are looking for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team as a Technical Advisor focused on Information Management & Platform Technologies Digital Solutions.  

 

Position Mission

Working closely with the Sales, Technical, and Services teams, the candidate is responsible for providing technical and thought leadership and to collaborate with our clients to create and engineer information management digital solutions to resolve clients’ technical challenges while helping them excel their business goals by showing the clear advantage of Halliburton digital solutions across the entire asset lifecycle. 

 

The candidate, overall, will work with customers, partners and internal teams to create detailed workflows, dataflows, deliver value stream mapping and carry out Design Thinking sessions to spark innovation and engineer creative solutions for our clients. 

 

Halliburton Technical Sales Consultants develop deep relationships with customers to better understand their needs and business goals and expand the reach of possible solutions. Functions as a liaison between the customer and the product development and Services teams to help drive product innovation and quality.  

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Position, market and drive demand and sales of Halliburton Landmark Software and Digital Solutions across Data Management, Integration and Platform technologies while supporting other domains as needed from data management requirements.
  • Develop deep relationships with customers to better understand their needs and business goals and expand the reach of possible solutions.
  • Work and collaborate with customers, partners and internal teams to create and engineer solutions to meet and exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Deliver technical presentations and/or live software and Digital Solutions demonstrations for our customers via in-person, conference calls, webinars, industry events, customer-driven events or other means of communications as needed. 
  • Functions as a liaison between the customer and the product development team to help drive product innovation and quality.
  • Prepare or assist in technical presentations, technical proposals, and tender responses in order to ensure that the proposed solution fully meet customer’s expectations, technical targets and Halliburton standards.
  • Analyze customer data management challenges and the applicability of leading Cloud based innovative platform technologies for Data Foundation (Data Management), Integration Foundation using open architecture tools.
  • Ability to respond to RFI’s RFP’s and proposals for data management requirements. This includes responding to needs for National Data Repositories, data consolidation, move to the cloud, data ingestion, data quality, data federation requirements including knowledge of OSDU (Open Subsurface Data Universe).
  • Participate in public Technology Days, Trade Shows and customer specific technical events throughout the year, showcasing new technologies, new functionality, and key capabilities.
  • Actively participate in highlighting innovation with White Papers and industry publications individually and co–authored material. 
  • Participate and provide input to Sales strategy and Operations meetings as and when required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s Engineering degree required, preferably Petroleum and or Reservoir Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas industry experience, in reservoir engineering or production operations working for a major oil and gas service provider or an Operator.
  • Understanding of upstream data requirements and data reservoir and production data and workflows   
  • Understanding of advanced data analytics and data science and how they accelerate data management activities.
  • Knowledge data management KPIs and their meaning associated with respective activities.
  • Experience in responding to RFIs/RFPs and developing proposals.
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Experience with any of the following: Seismic Data Management, Borehole Data Management, Corporate Data Management systems.
  • Knowledge of industry leading data management solutions below:
    • OpenWorks, EDM, Recall, NDR solutions, OSDU, Petrel Studio, iEnergy Cloud, DecisionSpace® 365 SaaS solutions, DecisionSpace Data Foundation, DecisionSpace Integration Foundation.
  • Experience with AI/ML and applicability to data, ingestion, Analytics, Web services, GIS and data quality will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Service Providers and their role as partners.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent travel within North America Region
