Job Duties
- Under supervision of Immigration Compliance Manager, helps define employee requirements and project objectives to determine best course of action for each non-resident case
- Performs duties involving the interpretation of immigration regulations to resolve immigration issues and provide guidance to personnel
- Identifies business risk in relation to work authorization and permanent residency
- Consults with business units concerning government regulations for individuals visiting and working in the U.S. to ensure compliance with federal government restrictions (pertaining to non-U.S. citizens)
- Assists outside counsel in the preparation and filing of petitions for U.S. work visas and permanent residence
- Communicates directly with government agencies, outside counsel, HR, and other internal personnel
- Acts as a subject matter expert in defined disciplines related to regulatory compliance
- Is proficient in the use of SAP. Requires undergraduate degree, and/or paralegal certificate, and/or equivalent experience and 3-5 years immigration law experience
- Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from Immigration Analyst up to the Senior Immigration Analyst.
