Assists in-house attorneys in handling various legal matters globally, including but not limited to employment claims and disputes, garnishments, subpoenas, litigation involving employment disputes, and various special projects. Supports the investigation of claims and disputes, locates documents, records, witnesses, etc., and maintains case files, records, and information systems.


Supports in-house and outside attorneys in the coordination of depositions, hearings, mediations, trials, and other proceedings.


May have supervisory responsibilities for matters, and generally has minimal administrative or clerical responsibilities.


Typically requires undergraduate degree, and/or paralegal certificate, and/or equivalent experience. 2-3 years of legal assistant/paralegal experience preferred.


  • Legal Assistant will support multiple countries globally with a focus on Latin America, Europe, and the United States – assignment countries/areas subject to change according to business needs.
  • Ability to speak Spanish as the role provides legal support to multiple countries in Latin America
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics and reporting
  • Ability to process invoices and partner/coordinate with different departments within the company to process invoices including Finance and Accounting
  • Works closely with Human Resources on general inquiries and actions, locating documents, scheduling witness interviews, triaging requests for in-house attorneys
  • Coordinates fact gathering interviews, depositions, and witness preparation meetings
  • Attends and supports certain legal proceedings in support of the in-house attorney (s)
  • Knowledge of Legal holds and handles requesting and submitting Legal Holds timely and according to internal processes
  • Works closely with accounting and other departments to prepare settlement payments and prepare new vendor requests
  • Handles the setting up of new matters, drafting and sending matter retention letters, new timekeepers requests, updating contacts, etc in official repository (Team Connect)
  • Schedules conference calls with internal employees and outside counsel and others, as required and instructed by in-house attorney(s)
  • Supports internal training initiatives presented and led by the Labor & Employment group
  • Ability to process power of attorney requests
  • Manages the response of subpoena requests and garnishments orders as well as handles judicial deposits in Latin America assigned countries
  • Serve as a translator when needed for internal, judicial, and administrative purposes (Spanish/English)
  • Experience handling non-compete/non-solicit issues preferred
  • Prepares required reports for assigned countries/areas
  • Processes expense reports
