Job Duties

Essential Job Functions 
•    Operating with significant level of technical and/or operational independence in all assigned areas. 
•    Will provide specialized Well Engineering support for the Critical Projects to resolve major engineering/operational issues and/or to enhance performance 
•    Technical Authority accountability for one or more Well Engineering standard and processes 
•    Will have accountability for Well Engineering process and design quality and integrity assurance on a number of well construction projects 
•    Must function as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one technology domain in Well Construction. 
•    Collaborate with other disciplines and Product Service Lines (PSLs) of the Company for drilling engineering related issues. 
•    Provide work direction and mentorship on a regular basis to staff Engineers. 

 

Requirements 
•    Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering preferably in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering required. 
•    Must have a minimum Level 4 IWCF Well Control certificate. 
•    Must possess good working knowledge of relevant industry standards for Well construction – API, NORSOK, IOGP etc 
•    Minimum of 20 years of Well Engineering experience with hands-on current knowledge of drilling & completions operations and techniques in onshore and offshore (preferable Deep Water) drilling environments preferred. 
•    Hands-on experience in well intervention engineering is a plus 
•    Up to 50% travel required for this position.
