Job Duties and Qualifications

Under broad direction, plans and manages the operation and maintenance of a small/medium-sized Real Estate Services (RES) Major Property Location (MPL) site, which may include office, laboratory, manufacturing, and/or warehouse facilities in multiple buildings, often in a campus setting. Develops, recommends, and, when approved, executes expense budget and capital plan for the site. Supervises through subordinate leaders a staff of up to 20 technical and craft employees with experience in facilities operation and maintenance. Also supervises outsourced services such as food services, janitorial, landscaping, and maintenance to achieve desired results. Serves as principal RES contact for all levels of corporate, business unit, and Shared Services employees at the site. Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions. Job role contributes directly to value creation. Skills are typically acquired through Completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, architecture, or engineering and minimum of 5 years of experience in property management which includes experience in direct operations and maintenance of office and manufacturing facilities as well as successful internal relations and management experience.

 

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

 

 

  • Manage Facility, office / general administration, facility management and maintenance across locations
  • Conduct inspections and audits, update licenses and permits and liaise with government bodies for compliance and permits for facility operations
  • Identify and mitigate facility risks, manage contracts/vendors and agreements to ensure adherence with company business practice and policies
  • Maintain a secure environment by controlling access to the facility through use of appropriate security measures
  • Oversee property management activities
  • Implement sustainable practices, ensure workplace safety, and oversee security measures
