Under direct supervision, a Technical Sales Consultant I provides technical support to sales representatives in a geographic area to assist sales efforts. He/she is responsible for providing thought leadership as it pertains to the technical aspects of proposed software/services solutions for each individual customer. Analyze the customer environment, discover and diagnose a system or business problem. Create and conduct product & solution presentations to customers. Work with the customer and internal teams to create detailed workflow solutions. Provide solution recommendations to customers via white board presentations, conference calls, live product demonstrations and webinars. Develop relationships with customers and vendors to better understand customer needs and expand the reach of possible solutions. Functions as a liaison between the customer and the product development team to help drive product innovation and quality. Job role contributes directly to value creation via personal contributions. Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering, geoscience, computer science or similar discipline. This position is considered entry technical sales in the application of product, equipment and solutions for an assigned PSL. Skills are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in a related Science discipline (discipline may vary by domain) and a minimum 1-3 years of progressive experience in the energy software industry.


Role - Technical Sales Consultant - Production, Reservoir Engineering


Responsibilities -  


  • Client facing technical expert, skilled at communicating value propositions of Landmark software and solutions across reservoir engineering, production engineering, economics and digital oilfield solutions
  • Responsible for new business development, sales enablement
  • Typical tasks include but not limited to technical presentations, proposal writing, delivering proof of value studies for clients, industry event involvement, etc
  • The position reports directly to Landmark Country Manager for India and functionally to Technical Sales Manager for Asia Pacific


Essential Skills/Requirements - 


  • Depth of experience and hands on skills for reservoir simulation and/or well and network modelling and/or digital oilfield solution
  • Breadth of domain knowledge across petroleum engineering solutions
  • Petroleum engineering or related degree with relevant experience
  • More than 5 years of reservoir/production engineering related experience
  • Clear communication, technical writing and presentation skills


Preferred Skills/Experience - 


  • 10 years of experience with operator or service provider working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Software solutions technical sales experience
  • Customer relationships in India
  • Awareness and interest in cloud technologies and digitial solutions
  • Experience / Interest in python for data science
