Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate should have skills and experience in NMR relaxation and analysis, a strong background in NMR physics, and NMR methodologies
  • Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, or related field
  • Five years or related experience in NMR data collection and analysis
  • Candidates with excellent MATLAB and Python programming skill are preferred

 

Duties and responsibilities shall as a minimum include:

  • Technical leadership in research and development furthering Halliburton’s technology
  • Lab work to characterize the behavior and response of existing and new sensors
  • Design, implementation and testing of NMR data collection procedures
  • Cooperation with the software development department in implementation and testing of algorithms for a commercial product
  • Participation in design, review and field-testing of prototypes
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of log results
  • Support of field engineers and customers in NMR log interpretation
  • Presentation of research and development results at conferences and trade shows
  • Promote best practices of lab research
