Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering,​

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in planning, design, construction, and project management of surface facilities in oil fields.​

  • Advanced knowledge in project management, surface facilities engineering, and risk management.​

  • ​Proven leadership, effective communication, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.​

  • ​Advanced English proficiency is required.

 

Under broad direction from the Asset or Project Manager, the Surface Facilities Manager, supports the Asset or Project Manager in managing the surface facilities activities in the asset.  Handles the project management requirements for the Customer surface facilities work scope, potentially including project planning, FEED work, detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-up and/or abandonment activities.   Expertise in managing design consultants to optimize the design and construction contractors to maximize productivity.  Strong understanding of all aspects of risk management methodologies; including risk identification, assessment, prioritization and mitigation/control. Analyzes, plans, and tracks company resources to complete facility design and construction on time and on budget. Attends internal coordination meetings with PSLs and other Project/Asset department heads and informs activity completion dates and issues. Coordinates environmental impact studies produced by engineering group to comply with governmental requirements. Attends internal and external meetings for work coordination. Communicates surface facility needs and plans to Customer and obtains corresponding contractual approval. Approves final revision and Engineering and Construction Work Orders and corresponding invoices. Reviews AFE requests and submits for upper management approval. Possesses strong knowledge of all aspects of project management control systems, including project scheduling, cost estimating, change/variance orders, MoC processes, monthly reporting, etc.
