Job Duties
- Under general autonomy, responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of mechanical and electronic equipment, relative to their assigned location.
- Also responsible for understanding equipment operation for the purpose of testing and making adjustments after repairs and/or during inspection/diagnosis.
- Moreover, assists in supervising other technicians, and prioritizes and/or assigns work when required.
- This position is required to perform and /or supervise complex operations using test equipment to test and calibrate instruments.
- Required to be self-starting, good communication skills and be able to work independently in remote situations, including but not limited to the well site, harsh environments and adverse conditions.
- Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical and electronic schematics/drawings/prints.
- Must be able to identify and look up component/part information in reference sites including, SAP, CWI and BER. The role must possess management skills and be able to multitask and perform in a high-pressure environment.
- Required to possess various computer and software knowledge.
- The role must be fully competent on all electronic and the mechanical systems, relative to their assigned location.
- Provides basic job training and guidance for less experienced technicians.
Qualifications
Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 8 years' experience as a mechanical or electronic technician at Halliburton and three years of wellsite experience is also required.
- 1 year of experience as an electro-mechanical technician at Halliburton is preferred.
- Non-Commercial Driver's License is required.
- Technical school certificate or degree in Electronics or Mechanical systems is preferred.

Additional Information:
- Halliburton covers the first flight from the lower 48 to Anchorage, AK.
- 10% Alaska living allowance is available to employees whose primary residence is in Alaska.
- 5% Alaska living allowance available to employee's whose primary residence is outside of Alaska
- Lodging and meals provided during scheduled work rotation
- Position is eligible for a monthly travel stipend for employees whose primary residence is outside of Alaska.
- Employees residing outside of Alaska are responsible for coordinating their own travel to and from Anchorage, AK for their work rotation as well as their own transportation to and from the airport and the Halliburton facility in Anchorage.
- 2 weeks on 2 weeks off schedule or 3 weeks on 3 weeks off schedule, with a Tuesday start date *Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.*
