Under general supervision applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware, electronic circuits, control systems or algorithms for product changes and new development. Uses software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict performance of electronic circuits or control systems and identifies design improvements by evaluating results. Contributes in reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data. Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton’s Health, Safety, and Environment procedures. Contributes to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have Intellectual Property potential without disclosing confidential information. Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications. Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide innovative solutions.
 

Requirements:

 

  • BS degree in Electrical engineering, electronics engineering, Computer science or Computer engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with C/C++ programming language for embedded systems.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
  • Proficient with source control systems.
  • Proficient in the use of multiple compilers, debuggers, and IDE´s.
  • Ability to architect embedded firmware, from high-level task scheduling to low-level HALs
  • Advanced English skills.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in structured design, OOD, code reusability, and best practices for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with communication standards (OSI model, MODBUS, and TCP/IP).

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
