Under general supervision, coordinates and oversees Testing & Subsea (TSS) Subsea Safety Systems (SSS) product service line (PSL) providing excellent customer relations. Responsible for pre-planning, job execution, post-job analysis and overall performance of company assets on location. Develops and maintains personal relationships with the technical customer base. Provides technical support on location as required by the customer or PSL. Assignments require sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional. May only go on critical jobs where service quality or job complexity could be an issue. Maintains job schedules, helps perform PPRs and manages the career development of the Associate Field Professionals (AFPs), Field Professionals (FPs), and Senior Field Professionals (SFPs) in the service center. Provides technical and operational expertise to external customer in a professional manner. With minimal supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations. Applies Reservoir Evaluation with customers in conjunction with Drill Stem Testing. Liaises with customers on technical issues, including performance review and process improvements to better support the needs of the customer. Works with the local Business Development personnel to insure customers are kept current on technology. Initiates, reviews, and closes Correction, Prevention, Improvement (CPIs) pertaining to Technology. Contributes inventions, patents, and new designs or techniques which are regarded as major advances, or which significantly reduce professional services hours on projects. Job role contributes directly to value creation. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Physics, Geology or Math and a minimum of 8 years of experience in field operations which includes experience in well testing. Certification as a Professional/Chartered Engineer preferred. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems in the most efficient and economical manner. Requires the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of the field and related disciplines. Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Physics, Geology or Math required. Minimum of 8 years of experience in well testing and management experience.
