Under general supervision, coordinates the work of Operator Assistants and Service Operators at the job site. Responsible for the activities relative to maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating equipment at the customer location and field camp. Assist in providing technical, operational and practical expertise to development and operations technology projects. Obtains pertinent service work information from the customer and effectively communicates appropriate information to assigned worksite staff. Trains and provides guidance to Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the proper performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports. Trains Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the rig operation relative to assembly, operation, and maintenance of equipment. Completes appropriate documents, reports, and forms that affect the financial results of the business unit, (field ticket, etc.). Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school diploma or similar education. Verifiable experience for at least 3 years with Drill Bits Operator category is mandatory, needs to be supported with documents signed by the customer. Experience with Coring is desired. Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary. Must be knowledgeable of HMS standards and guidelines for PSL personnel. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
