Requirements
- Master's, desirable Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Fluent in Portuguese & English.
- At least 5 years of experience (including academic and/or industry background) in modeling, simulation, design and testing is desirable;
- Experience in the design of Machine Elements;
- Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks and Ansys (CAD and FEA);
- Experience with Engineering Management, including participation in R&D projects;
- Required to have strong communication, leadership, teamwork, adaptability, problem solving, critical observation, and conflict solving skills;
- Experience in design solutions for Oil & Gas, aerospace and/or defense industry is desirable.
Responsabilities
- Responsible for designing, testing and documenting the Mechanical Engineering portion of the project in the Brazil facility and supervising the mechanical team;
- He/She will design mechanical subsystems and commission under the guidance of the US-based team and technical contractors;
- He/She will work close to the Systems Engineer and the Project Manager in Brazil.
- Guides others on engineering tools, test specifications and assesses application of Health, Safety, and Environment techniques during the design process.
- Applies and interprets engineering calculations to obtain design solutions and troubleshoot erroneous results.
- Defines input requirements and develops functional specifications by utilizing basic statistical methods and reliability techniques.
- Acts as a project lead by establishing development plans and preparing for design reviews.
