Job Duties
Position Summary

Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and sound engineering judgment in solving complex problems related to new and improved products and processes.

Establishes best practices incorporating Reliability, Health, Safety, and Environmental concepts.

Evaluates theoretical results to meet design requirements.

Acts as a technical expert, solving complex system equations and developing custom solutions using advanced tools.

Coaches and reviews work of other engineers.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Contributes to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio through innovative and commercially viable solutions.

Works across teams in Brazil, US, Singapore, and India.

Collaborates closely with the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineer, and Project Manager at HBTC (Brazil).
Qualifications
Qualification
-
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).

Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Experience
-
10+ years in R&D.
-
Experience with multidisciplinary teams in global environments.
-
Expertise in designing complex system solutions across multiple disciplines for Oil & Gas, mining, and/or aerospace.

Experience with subsea, well control, and well intervention systems involving multiple disciplines.

Hands-on experience with vessel-based equipment deployment.
-
Provides mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers.
-
Involvement in patent processes.
-
Regularly prepares and delivers project status reports.

Defines technical requirements and reviews third-party proposals.
-
Knowledge of vessel structures and associated processes.
-
Advanced experience in Risk Assessment, FMEA, and reliability tools.
-
Practical knowledge of oil field equipment.

Proficient in electronic circuit design, simulators (e.g., LTSPICE, PSPICE), and tools like MATLAB and MathCAD applied to embedded systems in harsh environments.

Familiarity with system automation using robotics is a plus.
