Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development on electromagnetic logging tools.
- Develop creative/innovative solutions and technologies.
- Design of electromagnetic sensor array and array data processing algorithms.
- Numerical modeling and inversion.
- Development of software/packages for electromagnetic signal processing, simulation, and inversion including related multi-physics.
- Development of AI/maching learning applications and products on electromagnetic downhole logs.
- Collaborating with team members and providing necessary support for technology transfer.
- Publising results in patent applications, technical journals and conferences
Required Education and Skills
- A Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) from but not limited electrical/electronic engineering, physics, and geophysics, with strong background in analytical and computational electromagnetics
- Strong background in numerical optimization and statistics
- Excellent data analysis and signal processing skills
- Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Self-motivated, self-starter
- Track record of solving challenging engineering problems independently
- High sense of ownership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in coding using Python, Matlab
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Machine learning knowledge
- Coding in Fortran, C++
- Hands-on experience with commercial EM modeling packages such as CST and Ansys
- Experience with EM applications for well-logging
