Project Titles:
Visualization of material prep output and capacity
Problem Statement: Lack of visibility of material prep output and capacity from external vendor. It causes order delay as bottleneck of vendors' capacity weren't detected upfront and order execution team is struggling to figure out alternate source and perform order diversion.
Objective: To establish a visual program to monitor capacity and loading situations of raw material suppliers and material prep vendors for better planning and avoid last minutes order diversion during order execution stage.
Procurement Process Standardization
Procurement has mutiple activities and handled by various buyers with little standardization. The project aims to standardise some of the work flow including standardise the management of rating for vendors for Vendor Performance Review , create a dashboard of procurement key indicators, new employee training Hal TV to summarise the key processes and lastly to kick off RPA Automation for indirect order placement with the procurement team.
Visualization of capacity and load on external suppliers
Problem Statement: Lack of visibility of capacity and loading level on external vendors who providing machine thread and coating services. It causes order delay as bottleneck of vendors' capacity weren't detected upfront and order execution team is struggling to perform order diversion.
Objective: To establish a visual program to monitor premium threaders and coating vendors capacity and loading situations for better planning and avoid last minutes order diversion during order execution stage.
Digitalization transformation - Back office team
Problem Statement: Manual intervention to verify correctness and completeness of quality documentation or processes at supply chain's back office stage. Potential risk of quality escape due to human error and limited of tribal knowledge sharing to ensure gate keeper perform sanity check before activating processes to downstream production or external supplier on order execution
Objective: Map out current stage and transform current manual intervension into digital mode to minimize quality issues and improve effectiveness of order execution process
